After 8 years of waiting, I finally got Lasik eye surgery just over 2 weeks ago!
I cannot believe I finally got it done. No more walking into walls when I get up at night to go to the bathroom. You think I'm kidding? just ask my husband. No more dealing with glasses every year, or debating if I can juggle contacts again.
I had started to get nervous a few days before and then it went away, untill right before the surgery. They did my left eye first I was freaked-out! Then they were done and I realized I had had dental procedures more painful than this. I've had all sorts of drills & saws in my mouth. I had braces twice & my wisdom teeth removed while awake. I have never known anyone else who had it done while awake, if you have kids: do not torture them with this no matter how much you think they deserve it!
Anyway, back to my new eyes. I love them!!! If anyone wants to know more about the nitty-gritty details just ask me in the comments section I will not post them out-right because I know way to many squeamish people. Also, If you are considering the surgery feel free to ask questions too.
